OSCAR HUGO WOLLENBURG

The funeral service for Oscar Hugo Wollenburg will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield with Reverend Randy Fossum officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale, MN.

Oscar Hugo Wollenburg, 83, passed away on July 25, 2012, at Our House in Austin, MN.

Oscar was born on May 5, 1929, the son of Oscar and Rosa (Burger) Wollenburg, in Austin, MN. He was baptized on May 19, 1929, at St John's Lutheran Church in Austin, MN and confirmed on May 30, 1942, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. Oscar served in the army from 1954-1955. He was united in marriage to Ida Jean Peterson on October 23, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield. To this union, six children were born, Lora, William, Paul, Daniel, Joel and Sharon. Oscar farmed at Brownsdale, hauled milk, and drove school bus for 30 years.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Ida Jean Wollenburg, Brownsdale, MN; sons, Daniel (Cindy) Wollenburg, Owatonna, MN; Joel (Becky) Wollenburg, Brownsdale, MN; daughter, Sharon (Forrest) Malakowsky, Hartland, MN; Paul Wollenburg, Fort Lauderdale, FL; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Gerhard (Lucille) Wollenburg, Austin, MN; one sister-in-law, Martha Wollenburg, Billings, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lora; son, William; grandson, Derek Malakowsky; and brother George. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service on Monday. Blessed be his memory.
