Adam James Brekke

Adam James Brekke, 54, of Claremont, MN passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN.

Adam was born on March 30, 1968, in Owatonna, MN to Clifford “Butch” and Margaret “Peggy” (Erickson) Brekke.  He grew up in Claremont, MN and graduated from Dodge Center High School.  He spent his childhood summers working on the family farm and with neighbors baling hay, walking beans, picking rocks, and taking care of pigs.

Adam worked at Viracon for a period of time after high school.  He later moved to Missouri and married and had two children. He became a certified welder and continued his love of farm work and fabricating with his nephew, Justin.  He moved back to Dodge Center to be closer to his parents.  He enjoyed Dodge trucks, hunting and fishing and working on projects with his dad in the shop.  He was always happy to help anyone in need.  He was the kindest, hardest working person there was.  He will be greatly missed.

Adam is survived by his daughter, Taylor; son, Dalton; parents, Peggy and Butch; brother, Eric (Gayle); his best friend, Niki Dreyer; and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7 ^th St SE Kasson, MN with Reverend Jean Boese officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes in Kasson and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Hillside cemetery in Claremont, MN.
