ADELINE GERTRUDE HRTANEK

Adeline Gertrude Hrtanek, 93, of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully on September 25, 2018, at Fairview Nursing Home in Dodge Center.

Adeline was born on July 22, 1925, the daughter of Clarence and Martha (Dusek) Woolison in Owatonna, MN. Adeline was united in marriage to Rudolph (Rudy) Hrtanek on February 26, 1946. They lived in rural Kasson where they farmed and raised her family until Rudy’s passing in 1973. She continued to farm with her sons until the early 1980’s and then moved to Kasson. Adeline devoted her life to, taking care of her family, working on the farm and God. Adeline enjoyed gardening, canning, country music, cards, dancing, baking, needle pointing and crocheting. She was a woman of strength, courage and was always willing to help out her family and friends. Her legacy of strength, hard work and the love of family are instilled within each of us and everyone who ever knew her.

She is survived by her 11 children, daughters, Martha Zelinski (Kay), Marlene Goplen (Steven), Marilyn Nelson (Dean), Margorie Reynolds (Frank), Barbara Guenther (Dave) and Brenda; her sons, Matthew, Patrick (Sandy), Ronnie (Gail), Rudy (Kelly) and Donnie (Nicole); 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy; son, Michael; sisters, Dorothy, Tilly, Marcella, and Louise; brother, Lawrence; grandson, Dustin; and great granddaughter, Anna.

A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2018, at St. John Baptist de la Salle Parish at 20 2 ^nd St. NE, Dodge Center, MN with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center. Lunch will be served at the church following the burial. Rest in peace our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
