He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clarence “Bud” Warner and his sibling that died in the womb. He is survived by his mother and father, Nancy and Dave Verburg; sisters and brother, Ash, Mitch, and Morgan; grandmother and grandfather, Arvin and Karen; grandmother, Bertha Warner and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Instead of sending flowers, we ask that you consider donating to a fund in Alex’s memory to pay for Bolivian children to come to the US for life-saving heart surgery through Samaritan’s Purse Children’s Heart Project. Alex really enjoyed when we had Bolivian boys stay at our house and helped minister to them. They called him Alex Grande because there was a young boy named Alex also. To make a donation, please make a check out to Samaritan's Purse and bring it to the celebration of his life on September 24 or mail it to Dave and Nancy.
