The funeral service for Alice Wangsnes Cady will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dodge Center with Pastor Tom Bentley officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.

Alice Wangsnes Cady, 82, of Kasson, MN died on Friday, December 2, 2011, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.
Alice was born on February 10, 1929, the daughter of Peter and Alvina (Mathews) Wangsnes in Cyrus, MN. She attended school in Pope County, MN and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1944. She was the oldest of five children. Alice was united in marriage to Dale Lowell Cady on April 21, 1967, in SD. Alice worked as a LPN in Minneapolis, MN, in hospitals, nursing homes, and in the homes of some of her patients. Later she drove school bus in Rosemount, MN. Alice and Dale lived in the Concord area and ran the Concord Store and Locker. They bought the store in 1973, sold it in 1993, and then moved to the Kasson-Mantorville area. Alice enjoyed sewing, gardening and working puzzles.

Alice is survived by her children, Barbara A. Clark, Rochester, MN; Charles E. Clark, Kasson, MN; Beverly (Lonnie) Oakland, Dodge Center, MN; four grandchildren, Nolan and Brianna Knudson; Amanda and Katelyn Oakland; one sister, Evelyn (Darrel) Glass, Red Lake Falls, MN; three brothers, Marvin (Pat) Wangsnes, Thief River Falls, MN; Harold Wangsnes, Rapid City, SD; and Clarence (Cathy) Wangsnes, Grand Forks, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 2010; one grandson and one brother, Walter.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
