Alvin Elmer Gross

Alvin Elmer Gross, 83, of Kasson, MN, formerly of Dodge Center, MN, died on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Prairie Meadows Senior Living in Kasson, MN.

Alvin was born on June 19, 1937, the son of John and Alice (Harmon) Gross in Algona, IA.  He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1956.  He was united in marriage on January 18, 1958 to Dorothy Klossner in Kasson, MN.

Alvin worked his entire life as a farmer.  He was also a mechanic for John Deere and Case IH.  He loved music and dancing.  He was a member of Praise Fellowship Church in Dodge Center, MN.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gross of Kasson, MN; children, William Gross of Farmington, MN, Bruce (Jan) Gross of Tarpon Springs, FL, Cindy (Rodney) Severson of Jacksonville, FL, and Cheryl (Nhut)Tran of Rochester, MN; brother, Ronald Gross of FL; sisters, Evelyn (Lowell) Trom of Blooming Prairie, MN, Ermadell (Theodore) Knutson of West Concord, MN, and Joanne (James) Whitcomb of Hayfield, MN; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Linden Gross and two sisters, LaVonne Gross and Celia Marini.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7 ^th St SE in Kasson, with Pastor Roger Langworthy officiating.
