A funeral mass for Anthony Gene Johnson will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield, MN with Reverend William Kulas celebrating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield, MN.
Anthony Gene Johnson, 18, died Saturday morning, March 14, 2009, in an automobile accident.
Anthony Gene Johnson was born on May 24, 1990, in Rochester, MN, the son of Brian Betsworth and Sandra Johnson. Anthony was a student at ALC in Byron, MN. He enjoyed skate boarding, playing guitar, fishing, woodworking, and drawing. Anthony was a great friend, brother, son, uncle, and grandchild. He was loved by all and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family as much as he could.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Sandra Johnson, Hayfield, MN; father, Brian Betsworth, PA; and step-father, Royal Johnson, Stewartville, MN; four brothers, Jason Eich, Rochester, MN; Jarrod Eich, Chippewa Falls, WI; Royal Johnson, Rochester, MN; Matthew (Amanda) Johnson, Chatfield, MN; one sister, Katie Johnson, Kasson, MN; maternal grandmother, Louise Eich, Hayfield, MN; and paternal grandparents, Brian and Judy Betsworth; ME. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Pearl and Ingvald Johnson; and grandfather, William Eich.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
