The funeral service for Antonia "Toni" Linda Nelson will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Highway 56, 410 SW ~ 3rd Avenue in Dodge Center. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Antonia "Toni" Linda Nelson, 71, passed away at her home in Dodge Center, MN on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014.
Antonia Linda was born on March 12, 1943, the daughter of Alfredo and Gregoria (Luna) Cruz in Minnesota Lake, MN.
Toni attended St. Theodore Catholic School in Albert Lea. Toni was united in marriage to Larry Nelson on March 16, 1984, in Northwood, Iowa. She worked at various jobs over the years in Albert Lea and Dodge Center. Toni enjoyed cooking, dancing, crafts, and was known for her popcorn balls. She enjoyed helping other people and was active in the Hispanic Community.
Toni is survived by her husband, Larry Nelson, Dodge Center, MN; children, Michael Blazek, Dodge Center, MN; Teresa (Shane) Clark, Janesville, MN; Amanda (John) Wackerly, Rochester, MN; six grandchildren; one brother, Alfredo (Trudie) Cruz, Sioux Falls, SD; four sisters, San Juana Flores, Albert Lea, MN; Rose (Charles) Montanye, Albert Lea, MN; Nellie (Fred) Godines, San Antonio, TX; and Linda Cruz-Lares (Juan Ortiz), Albert Lea, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
