The funeral service for Barbara Jean Niles will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church, 308 2nd Street NW with Reverend Barbara Streed officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Barbara Jean Niles, 58, passed away on April 29, 2015, at her home in Dodge Center, MN.
Barbara Jean was born on May 4, 1956, the daughter of Morris and Myrtle (Clark) Suby in Forest City, IA. Barbara graduated from Manly North Central High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Richard Brass and later divorced, then was married to Randy Niles.
Barb worked at the Prosthesis Laboratory in Rochester and later at Prairie Meadows in Kasson, MN as the activities coordinator. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, garage sales, taking care of her chickens and especially taking care of her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her children, Juliet (Matthew) Maas; Katherine Niles, and Randy Niles; grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Darlene (Dan) Hammitt, Garner, IA; Marlin (Mindy) Suby, Madison, WI; LaVerne Suby, Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Randy; son, Jeffery; brother, James; and sister, Shirley.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
