BEATA THERESA JUHNKE
The funeral service for Beata Theresa Juhnke will 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in rural Waltham, MN with Reverend John Heruth officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Beata Theresa Juhnke, 99, of Hayfield, MN died on Friday morning, November 28, 2008, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.
Beata was born July 25, 1909, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Milius) Matter in Waltham, MN. She was married to Ewald Juhnke in January 22, 1930 at St. Michael’s Church, rural Waltham, MN. She and her husband farmed in the rural Waltham, area. Beata moved to Hayfield in 1993, and to Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield in November of 2007. Beata was a life long member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed scrape booking, quilting, all church activities, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Field Crest Care Center.
Beata is survived by her son, Gerald (Joyce) Juhnke, Blooming Prairie, MN; 4 grandchildren, Debra (David) Hahn; Jodeane Juhnke; Dawn Juhnke; and Kevin (Leah) Juhnke; 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Anita (Ralph) Senjem, Hayfield, MN; and one brother, Arnold Matter, Waltham, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1967; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. The family prefers memorials to donors choice.
