BERDELLA ELIZABETH JOHNSON
The funeral mass for Berdella Elizabeth Johnson will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield with Reverend William Kulas celebrating. Interment will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sargeant, MN.
Berdella Elizabeth Johnson, 91, formerly of Waltham, MN died on October 1, 2008, at Golden Living Center East in Rochester, MN.
Berdella Elizabeth Hofschulte was born on October 18, 1916, the daughter of William and Susan (Wever) Hofschulte in Mazeppa, MN. Berdella was married to Orville Johnson on January 30, 1945, in Rochester, MN. The couple farmed outside of Sargeant and Waltham areas and later moved to Waltham. Berdella enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crocheting, and knitting. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield.
Berdella is survived by her son, Gary Johnson, Waltham, MN; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville in 1981; five sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
