The memorial service for Betty Ann Peterson will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20th, 2013, at the First Congregational Church, 12 ~ 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center, Minnesota with visitation one hour before the service.

Betty Ann Peterson, 89, of Kasson, Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by loving nephew and nieces on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, Minnesota.

Betty was born in Mantorville on November 14, 1923, the daughter of John and Ella (Jensen) Rea. Betty graduated from Mantorville High School in 1941. On August 14, 1943, Betty married Donald Ralph Peterson. They lived in Dodge Center, Austin and Kasson, Minnesota. Betty was a bookkeeper at Anderson Canning Co. in Dodge Center, J.C. Penney Co. in Austin, Reichert Refrigeration Co. in Rochester and for 33 years was bookkeeper and Business Manager for the Dodge Center Public Schools. Betty retired in 1983.

Betty enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, boating, golfing, traveling, and playing cards with friends. She and Don wintered in Tucson, Arizona. After Don passed away on May 15, 1997, Betty continued to winter in Tucson for a total of 27 years. She did not like the Minnesota winters.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Memorials suggested to the First Congregational Church in Dodge Center.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center assisted with the service.
