The memorial service for Beverly Jean Rohwer will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 308 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center with Reverend Barbara Streed officiating. Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja MN. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Beverly Jean Rohwer, 82, of Dodge Center, died on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Season's Hospice in Rochester, surrounded by her family.
Beverly Jean Radke was born on September 7, 1932, to Charles and Nancy (Hendrickson) Radke in Dodge Center. She married Lloyd Rohwer on July 5, 1953. They farmed near Dodge Center until retiring. For many years they lived in Wasioja before moving to Dodge Center. Bev was a bookkeeper before her marriage and after her marriage she went to part time bookkeeping. She played the organ for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Concord, and the First Congregational Church in Dodge Center. Bev had many passions in her lifetime, including sewing, bowling, golfing, traveling in their camper, reading, quilting and her dog, Sadie.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; sons, Scott (Cathy) Rohwer and Charles (Sue) Rohwer, both of Dodge Center; 4 grandchildren, Tanya (Mike) Vasquez, James Rohwer, Ashley Rohwer and Andrew Rohwer; one great granddaughter, Madilyn; two sisters, Elinor (Bernard) Nesler, Rochester, MN; Cheryl (Marlynn) Bauch Haymarket, VA; one brother, Robert (Marjorie) Radke, Woodbury, MN; and brother-in-law/sister-in-law, Kenneth and Donna Rohwer; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her son, Roger and a brother, Russell Radke and a sister, Rochelle Priem.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to American Cancer Society or the Dodge Center Library.
