The funeral service for Bruce Eugene Franko will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church 308 2nd Street in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Justin Boeding officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN.
Bruce Eugene Franko, 47, died on May 11, 2012, at his home in Dodge Center, MN.
Bruce was born on October 6, 1964, the son of Martin and Glennis (Saxton) Franko in Austin, MN. He graduated in 1983, from Dodge Center High School. Bruce attended Worthington Junior College for one year, and was a wrestler. He was united in marriage to Shelley Hanson on July 2, 1994, in Hot Springs, AR. He worked for Midland Construction for three years, then his family started Sunrise Sales and Service, building trailers in Dodge Center. He moved to Tulsa, OK and worked for the EDC Power Company for two years. In 1991, he moved to Dallas, TX and worked with Mueller Pipe Line. In 1996, he moved back to Dodge Center and continued working with Mueller Pipe Line and later worked with Q3 Pipe Line. Bruce enjoyed fishing, wrestling, snowmobiling, and playing cards.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Shelley Franko, one son, Brock Franko, two daughters, Morgan Franko, Kylie Franko, all of Dodge Center, MN; parents, Marty and Glenny Franko, Mantorville, MN; siblings, Randy (Karen) Franko, Dodge Center, MN; Lynn (Peggy) Franko, Rochester, MN; Debbie (Rick) Papenfus, Dodge Center, MN; Dale (Darilyn) Franko, Dodge Center, MN; Tami (Bill) Garness, Odessa, MO; Cherrie (Dan) Mlenar, Racine, MN; and Scott (Sherrie) Franko, Dodge Center, MN; many nieces and nephews; special aunts and uncles, Bill (Beverly) Elving; Arlene O'Donnell; Don (Helen) Franko; Richie (Donna) Franko; Jim Franko; Jerry (Artie) Franko; Jean Schoel; Marion (Jerry) Gilbertson; and Linda (Gene) Eldon.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
