Carol Ann Hames

Carol Ann Hames, 88, of Kasson, MN passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.

Carol was born on July 22, 1936, in Nicollet County, MN to Carl and Edna (Rydeen) Ross.   In 1946, Carol and her family moved from Nicollet County to rural Claremont, MN.  She graduated from Claremont schools in 1954.  She married Allan Hames on October 16, 1954, in Owatonna, MN.   Carol held many jobs, she was a homemaker, daycare provider, bartender at the Kasson American Legion and the Mantorville Saloon, customer service at Target, and also as a lunch server for the Kasson-Mantorville schools.  She enjoyed camping, making flower arrangements, spending time with her family and friends and enjoying a glass of wine.

Carol is survived by her children, Ken (Joni Brooks) Hames of Pine Island, MN, Rhonda Johnson of Kasson, MN, Judy (Ron) Twaddle of Kasson, MN, Curtis (Melissa) Hames of Rochester, MN, and Michelle Hames of El Cajon, CA; sibling, Margaret Prusha of Owatonna, MN; nine grandchildren, P.J., Crystal, Randi, Amy, Ryan, Beth, Molly, Marisa, and Justin; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Allan Hames; siblings, Ronald Ross, Stanley Ross, Edith Sinell, Shirley Ross, Arlene Anderley, and Judith Ross.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson, MN with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.  Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson, MN.
