CAROL ANN OSBORN

Carol Ann Osborn 78, of Dodge Center, MN died on April 12, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Carol was born the daughter of William and Ann (Bartels) Hietala on September 2, 1933, in Hibbing, MN. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1951. Carol married James Osborn on February 7, 1964, in LeRoy, MN.

Carol worked for Montgomery Ward and in later years at the Owatonna Canning Company in Dodge Center. Carol's greatest passion in life was reading, crossword puzzles, and her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her three children, Wendy (Don) Stroebl of Kasson, MN; Janna (Brian) Monosmith of Dodge Center, MN; and Cindy (Norman, Jr.) Hills of Waubun, MN; grandchildren, Dawn, Donny, and Matt Stroebl; Davis Cieslinski, Benett Monosmith, and Ike Hills.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; her brother, Clifford Hietala; and sister, Joyce Burke.

The family prefers memorials to the Dodge Center Public Library.

Visitation will from 2:00 ~ 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN. Inurnment will be in the Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
