Catherine Dee Carlson

Catherine “Cathy” Dee Carlson, 61, of Dodge Center, MN passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Cathy was born on January 23, 1959 in Rochester, MN to Roy and Elna (Schlief) Hanenberger. She attended Mayo High School and met the love of her life, Rick Carlson. They were married in 1978. She had her own cleaning business for the last 25 years.

Cathy enjoyed many things including camping, boating, planting flowers, garage sales, spoiling her grandchildren and occasional “cousins’ night out”. She was the most caring, thoughtful, giving person who always put everyone before herself. Throughout her battle with cancer she stayed positive, courageous, and fought hard. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Rick Carlson; children, Jeremy (Holly) Carlson of Rochester, MN and Carla (Chris) Marquette of Dodge Center, MN; brothers, Tony Hanenberger of AL and Dean (Kara) Hanenberger of Rochester, MN; her father, Roy Hanenberger of Rochester, MN; six grandchildren, Tanner, Spencer, Alyssa, Lilianna, Breklynn, and Emma; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elna.
