A celebration of life for Charles "Buzz" Root will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Hayfield American Legion, 7 Main Street East in Hayfield, MN.
Charles "Buzz" Gary Root, 80, of Hayfield, MN passed away at Mayo Clinic St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN on October 19, 2015.
Charles was born on May 24, 1935, the son of Willie and Ruby (Countryman) Root in Dodge County, Minnesota.
He was a hardworking man who loved his wife and family very much. He enjoyed spending time with them.
Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara Root, Hayfield, MN; children, Sheila (Richard) Fuller; Belinda (Dennis) Rippentrop; Gary (Brenda) Gullickson; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters and brother, Merece (Tom) Hanson; Pat (Lyle) Guenthner; and Richard Root. He was preceded in death by his son, Charlie; brother, Billy; sister, Doris Carlson; and his parents, Ruby and Willie. Family prefers no flowers. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
