The memorial service for Claude "Red" Marvin Schandorff will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kasson, MN. Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN.
Claude "Red" M. Schandorff, 80, passed away on Friday Morning, July 29, 2016 , in Dodge County. Claude was born on October 29, 1935, the son of Claude and Olga (Rubin) Schandorff in Mantorville, MN. Claude "Red" attended country schools in Berne and West Concord, MN.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Rich on December 30, 1961, in Northwood, IA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956.
Claude worked at Elcor Construction, and was a mechanic at Mack Truck in Rochester, MN and McNeilus Steele in Dodge Center, MN. Claude enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
Claude "Red" is survived by his children, Kari (Kenny) Trahan, West Concord, MN ; Kevin (Kim) Schandorff, Mantorville, MN; Kyle Schandorff, Hayfield, MN; Keith (Heather) Schandorff, West Concord, MN; siblings, Jerry Schandorff, Rochester, MN; Russell Schandorff, Stewartville, MN; Catherine Hanenberger, Kasson, MN; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Olga Schandorff; wife, Patricia Schandorff; two sisters, Beverly and Ann; and three brothers, Daniel, David and Terry.
