CLINTON DURRELL PETERSON

Clinton Durrell Peterson, 96, passed away at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield on June 17, 2019.

Clinton was born on September 21, 1922, the son of Carl and Helga (Oyen) Peterson in Waltham, MN. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1945 and was united in marriage to Patricia Buckman on October 26, 1947, in Dodge Center. Clinton was Foreman of the Rendering Division at Hormel in Austin for 35 years. The couple had resided in Austin, Wykoff and Rochester and Clinton lived in Hayfield the past four years. He was a member of the Hayfield American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Clinton is survived by his children, Charles (Susan) Peterson, Austin, MN; David (Cathy) Peterson, Rochester, MN; Thomas (Valeria) Peterson, Belle Plaine, MN and Beverly (Jerry) Snow, Zumbro Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Constance Jean Grant, Preston, MN; and sister-in-law, Bev Morton, Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; one brother, Color; sister-in-law, Barbara; and brother-in-law, Merlin Grant.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2 ^nd Street NW with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors by the Hayfield American Legion Rothie Post #330.
