Danita Maree Elton

Danita Maree Elton (Nuessmeier), 61, of Kasson, MN passed away Monday, January 24th, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Danita was born in Austin, MN and built her life in Kasson, MN with her husband, Steven, and their three children. Danita worked at Kasson Mantorville Elementary School for over 20 years; while working at KMES, she developed some of her best friendships.  Danita loved camping with her family, riding the motorcycle with Steven, sitting around the fire in the backyard, and spending time with family; especially, her kids and grandkids. Danita was a truly genuine friend, sister, wife, mother and daughter; she was a wonderful listener, problem solver, and thinker. Danita’s love for those around her was strong and welcoming.

Danita is survived by her husband, Steven Elton and three children; Amber (Aaron) Beissel, Brianna (Kyle) Johnson, Cristina (Lucas) Nienow and her five grandchildren. Along with her father and mother, Harold and Valoris Nuessmeier, brother Allen (Paula) Nuessmeier, sister Jennifer (Doug) Sandbeck. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her nephew Aaron Nuessmeier, and other loved ones.

A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7 ^th Street SE Kasson, MN with Reverend Pete Wyttenbach officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Toys for Tots or Moments Hospice.
