David Dale Curtis

David D. Curtis, 67 of Sargeant, MN died peacefully surrounded by his family at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester Campus, in Rochester, MN, on Friday, March 24 ^th , 2023, after a brief illness.

He was born in Owatonna, MN on June 3 ^rd , 1955.  He was the son of Dale and Barbara Curtis.  He attended and graduated from Hayfield School District.  He was married to Lori Haukom and later divorced.  They had 5 daughters: Jessica Curtis, Rochester MN, Amber (Chris) Tolck, Minneapolis, MN, Rachel Curtis, Hugo MN, Allician Curtis, MN and Angela Curtis, MN; Penney Conners, mother of Joe Conners and Frank Curtis, both of Sargeant, MN.

He is survived by sisters, Debbie (Steve) Schuck, Hayfield, MN, Diane (Jeff) Mittelstadt, Spring Valley, MN and brother, Doug Curtis, Osceola, WI. He has 18 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

David lived and worked his entire life in the Hayfield area. David worked at the Vernon Creamery for many years. From there he went into construction, carpentry at Lester Builders, and Morton Builders. David farmed with his grandpa, Ernest Dahlen.  He worked at McNeilus Truck until he had to retire for health reasons.

David loved his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and a warm hello. In the last few years with his health problems, he spent a lot of time with his mom. They loved to watch Wheel of Fortune together.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for Saturday, June 3 ^rd , 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Oxbow Park, 5731 County Road 105 NW, Byron, MN. Blessed be his memory.
