DAVID HUGO HAMMERMEISTER

David Hugo Hammermeister, 72, of Brownsdale, MN passed away on August 4, 2019, at Adams Health Care Center in Adams, MN.

David Hugo Hammermeister was born on April 25, 1947, the son of Arnold and Arlene (Schwartz) Hammermeister in Austin, MN. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1966 and attended Austin Vo-Tech in 1968 in Farm Equipment Mechanics. David was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Koball on October 20, 1990 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. He farmed in the Rose Creek area and also worked at Hormel for 27 years. He enjoyed camping.

David is survived by his daughters, Carla (Dan Benson) Masching, Hayfield, MN; Shelly (Doug Yotter), Pater Hollandale, MN; mother-in-law, Alice Koball, Adams, MN; grandchildren, Tori (Ben) Severson; Ashley Masching, Miranda (Matt) Erickson; Stephanie (Terrell Johnson) Masching; Ben and Emily Pater; Tim Benson; great grandchildren, Piper, Ja’Karie, Cloud, Olivia, Riley; Stone, Nash, Lexi, Ignitus, and Charlotte; sister, Lois Kuntz, Rochester, MN; brother, Ron (Glenda) Hammermeister, Austin, MN; sister-in-law, Janet Koball, Rochester, MN and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, father-in-law, Gerhardt Koball; brothers-in-law, Arnie Kuntz and Richard Koball.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2 ^nd Street NW in Hayfield. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale. Blessed be his memory.
