DeLores (Senjem) Fredrickson, age 98, of Hayfield, MN, went home to be with the Lord, January 23, 2021.
DeLores was born on August 4, 1922, to August and Susie (Spiten) Senjem. She graduated from Hayfield High School and attended the Minnesota School of Business. She married Arvid Fredrickson on December 15, 1945, after he proudly completed his military service. DeLores was very active in her church and loved the Lord. She learned the importance of working hard from her parents in her formative years and learned a legacy of love and concern for those who were in need and had so little. For years she would gather and donate clothing, mostly for babies, to the Marie Sandvik Center in Mpls. and to others in need. DeLores was a stay at home mom until her children graduated and then she became a credit counselor for the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After 18 ½ years, she retired in 1984. She was an avid reader and very proud of her Norwegian Heritage. She was very passionate about politics and was never afraid to argue her side of any issue. She loved to travel and had a home in Mesa, AZ, and for about 20 years spent her winters there.
DeLores is survived by her children, Dawn (Don) Deusterman of Roseville, MN, Mark (Carla) Fredrickson of Eagan, MN, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws Anita Senjem and Liz Fredrickson, both of Hayfield and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Arvid, her parents, August and Susie (Spiten) Senjem, siblings Eileen and Ralph Senjem.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield, Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Crest View Villa and at Field Crest Care Center for the wonderful care DeLores received.
