Dennis Wayne Pater

Dennis Wayne Pater, 69, of Waltham, MN passed away at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Dennis Wayne Pater was born on December 12, 1951 in Austin, MN.  He was the son of Albert and Violet (Wutschke) Pater of Waltham, MN.  He married Pamela Jean "Searies" Pater. Together they had two daughters, Jamie Lynn Pater and Jennifer Rene "Pater" Johnson. Pamela passed away in 1983. He later had a son, Mathew Pater, with Marinee "Rogers" Severtson. They separated but remained friends throughout his life.

Dennis worked at McNeilus Truck Manufacturing in Dodge Center for 19 years, retiring in the fall of 2016. Over the years Dennis lived in CA, WA, UT and then moved back to Minnesota, later settling in Waltham MN for approximately 30 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing, hunting, working in his shop, and spending quality time with his family.

Dennis survived by his daughters, Jamie Pater (Adam Booth) and Jennifer "Pater" Johnson; son, Mathew Pater (Sharly Rollie); grandchildren, Pamala, Dakota, Samantha, Nathan, Paris, Devon, Jadelyn, Brennen, and Jeffrey; siblings, Marlys Zane, Tim (Lynn) Pater, and Scott Pater.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel; brother in-law, Charles; grandson’s, Cyrus and Jarid; parents, Al and Vi; and his wife, Pamela.

Dennis will be cremated. Services will be held at a later date.
