Dennis Troy Peterson

Dennis Troy Peterson, 60, of Duluth, MN, formerly of Kasson, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Dennis was born on July 28, 1964, in Owatonna, MN. He grew up in Kasson, MN and attended Kasson-Mantorville High School.
Dennis enjoyed spending his spare time taking in nature while fishing and searching for agates along the North Shore of Lake Superior. He had a fondness for all animals big and small. He was an unwavering Minnesota Vikings fan and could be found taking in a game cheering on his team any given Sunday during the football season. One of Dennis’s greatest passions was spending time on the family farm helping his dad with planting and harvesting crops. He was a devoted and loving uncle to his niece, Samara and nephews, Elijah, Madden and Porter.

Dennis is survived by his father, LaVerne Peterson of rural Kasson; his mother, Kathy Peterson of Kasson; his sister, Kristin (Virgil) Jones of Jordan; his niece, nephews and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaret and Harry Stebbins; paternal grandparents, LaVerne and Iles Peterson; and uncles, Larry Stebbins, James Stivers, and Rockney Peterson.

A celebration of life for Dennis will be held at a later date. To honor Dennis’s memory, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
