Dolores Theresa Coleman

Dolores Theresa (Nelson) Coleman, 92 of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Prairie Meadows Senior Living in Kasson, MN.

Dolores was born on August 31, 1932, in Chicago, IL to Harry and Margret Nelson. She married Walter Coleman on January 20, 1951, in Chicago, IL. They were married for over 73 years. They moved to Kasson, MN in 1988. Over the years, Dolores was a full-time home maker and mother of 11. She was a den mother and softball coach, and she enjoyed gardening, cooking (for her army), and visiting with neighbors and friends. She worked at a pet store for a couple years. She was a gold star mother. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her whole world!

Dolores is survived by children, Barbara Collette of Anoka, MN, Ruth (Dutch) Hempel of Sierra Vista, AZ, Judith (Robin) Thompson of Kasson, MN, Charles (Sally) Coleman of Kasson, MN, Mary Ann Mollert of Kasson, MN, Walter (Jennifer) Coleman of Elgin, IL, Harry (Doreen) Coleman of Kasson, and Irene (Keith) Davis of Joiet, IL; daughter-in-law, Mary Lorraine of Otsego, MN; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; brother, Charles; children, Michael Allen Coleman and Rosemary Lynette Coleman; foster son, Russell Iaquinto; sons-in-law, John Collette and James Mollert, and 2 grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1904 Mantorville Ave N in Kasson, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at St. Margaret’s Catholic cemetery in Mantorville, MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Prairie Meadows Rose Court staff as a thank you for all of their kindness and support.
