DON PAUL CARLSON

The memorial service for Don Paul Carlson will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church, 308 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Justin Boeding officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Military honors by the Dodge Center American Legion.
Don Paul Carlson died on July 15, 2010, at Season's Hospice in Rochester.
Don Paul Carlson, 77, was born on November 29, 1932, in Great Falls, Montana the son of Paul and Sylvia (Ims) Carlson. He graduated from Red Wing High and entered the U. S. Army for two years. He was united in marriage to Evonne Wang on November 27, 1958 in Glyndon, MN. Don was a welder in Faribault. He moved to Wasioja and worked for Crenlo and later farmed in the Dodge Center area. He enjoyed reading, watching TV, repairing bicycles, pruning trees and yard work, his grandchildren and his family.
Don is survived by his wife, Evonne Carlson, Dodge Center, MN; daughter, Donna (Corey) Schmidt, Henderson, NV; son, Chad (Peggy Witt) Carlson, Dodge Center, MN; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristi Carlson; and son, Terry Carlson. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center is in charge of arrangements.
