DONALD ALLEN JENSEN

Donald Allen Jensen “Oak” of Dodge Center passed away on Friday, July 26th 2019, at the age of 85, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.

Donnie was born on April 24, 1934 in Oslo, MN to Edwin and Cora (Mohn) Jensen. He enjoyed his years operating equipment and mechanic work. Donnie loved hunting, fishing, taking fishing trips with his sons and grandchildren as well as spending many hours on the Mississippi River. Along with fishing, Donnie was an avid storyteller and a member of the local 49. Donnie adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bartel) Jensen; children, Debra (Charles) Johnson, Linda (John) Bowman, Julie (Robert) Bowman, Bonnie Jensen, David (Charles) Jensen, Korina (Jay) Osborn, Dale (Tamera) Jensen, Darrin Jensen, Dallas (Barbara) Jensen, Dennis (Naomi) Jensen; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Jensen; sisters, Betty (Rollo) Strain, Carol (Dwight) Trygstad, Judy Hickok, and sister-in-law, Doris Jensen. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Cora; son, Daniel; brothers, Darrel & Russel Jensen; sister, Lavonne Zelinske, and great-grandsons, Brock and Matt.

A visitation will take place at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center on Tuesday, July 30th from 4:00-7:00 pm and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 31st at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 410 3 ^rd Avenue SW in Dodge Center at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
