The funeral service for Donna Mae Erickson will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, (New Location)25 South Street SW, Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Jean Boese officiating. There will be a private family interment in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester, MN.

Donna Mae Erickson, 85, formerly of Mantorville, MN, passed away on September 22, 2012, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN, where she had lived for two years.

Donna Mae was born on April 26, 1927, the daughter of Harry J. and Marie (Dawson) Woodward in rural Dodge County, MN. On August 19, 1945, she married Stanley A. Erickson in Dodge Center, MN. They farmed in Dodge Center. They moved to Rochester and later they moved to Mantorville. Stanley died on August 17, 2010. Donna did clerical work for several businesses in Rochester over the years. Donna loved to dance, and spend time with friends. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Butch) Brekke, Claremont, MN; Kathy (Michael) Niemiec, Roseville, CA; three grandchildren, Eric (Gayle) Brekke, Kansas City, MO; Adam (Lisa) Brekke, Lamar, MO; Meghan McKinley, Burlingame, CA; four great grandchildren, Luke, Laura, Taylor, and Dalton Brekke; one brother, Don (Janine) Woodward, Yuma, AZ; three sisters, Beth (Al) Johnson, June Baldridge and Jean Johnston all of Dodge Center, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, (New location) 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
