The memorial service for Donna Marie Lewis will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield, MN with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.
Donna Marie Lewis, 82, passed away at her home in Hayfield on May 20, 2016.
Donna Marie was born on March 22, 1934, in Stewartville, MN the daughter of Kenneth and Leila (Lecy) Johnson.
Donna was united in marriage to James Lewis on September 27, 1958, in LeRoy, MN. She was an active volunteer in Girl Scouts, Alter Guild, Ladies Aid, and church activities. Donna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, bird watching, Bible Study, crafts, and especially making cards, the Girl's Birthday Club that met once a month and spending time at Nelson's Cabin.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Jayne (Gregg) Childs, Rochester, MN; Tamara (Marlin) Kath, Owatonna, MN; three grandchildren, Leila Kath, Carrin Kath, and Turner Childs; sister, Elaine Fowler, Bloomington, MN; sister-in-law, Deloryce Johnson, LeRoy, MN and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and one sister. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW assisted with arrangements.
