DONNA RAE THOMPSON

Donna Rae Thompson, 72, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on July 17, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus.

Donna Rae was born on May 6, 1945, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin the daughter of Wallace and Ruth (Currier) Norlin. She graduated from Dodge Center High School. She was united in marriage to Frederic Thompson on May 11, 1963, in Dodge Center, MN. Donna worked at Smith's Bakery in Dodge Center and then at Fairview Nursing Home for 30 years as Nursing Unit Secretary.

Donna enjoyed Bingo, Treasure Island, sewing and canning.

Donna is survived by her husband, Frederic Thompson, Dodge Center, MN; two daughters, Kim (James) Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; Pam (Jim) Jensen, Dodge Center, MN; son Tom (Kristi) Thompson, Dodge Center, MN; three grandchildren, Jamie, Haley, Makena; two step grandchildren, Jesseca and Nathan; one brother, Gary (Carol) Boettcher, Dodge Center, MN; and sister-in-law, Pat Norlin, Dodge Center, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rudy.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church, 308 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Barbara Streed officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home and Crematory assisted with arrangements.
