The funeral service for Dorene H Buck will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church 30450 570th Avenue in rural Waltham, MN with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Waltham.

Dorene H Buck, 97, formerly of Waltham, MN died Wednesday morning, September 1, 2010, at Pathstone Lutheran Home in Mankato, MN.

Dorene Hasty was born on August 20, 1913, the daughter of Lloyd and Coila (Jefferson) Hasty in Grano, ND, Lockwood Township. She was united in marriage to Marvin Buck on June 15, 1934, in Northwood, IA. Dorene worked at Hormel's for 14 years, from 1930-1944. She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens and Helping Hand Club.

Dorene is survived by one son, Rick (Rita) Buck, Mankato, MN; one sister, Kaye (David) Spencer, Loveland, CO; daughter-in-law, Barbara Buck, Austin, MN; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, four brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
