DORIS MARGARET HELLEN

The funeral service for Doris Margaret Hellen will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, at Evanger Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant, MN with Reverend Dwight Dobell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery.

Doris Margaret Hellen, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.

Doris was born on June 26, 1932, the daughter of Oscar and Jenny (Grovdahl) Hellen in the Sargeant area and grew up on the family farm. She was Baptized at Evanger Lutheran Church on July 1932. Doris attended School District 91. After farming she was employed at various jobs. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, her garden and her cats.

Doris is survived by her sister, Laura Haskin, Mantorville, MN; brother, Osmond Hellen, Minneapolis, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold Hellen, Ernie Hellen and niece, Donette (Haskin) Mitchell.

Memorials and gifts suggested to Evanger Lutheran Church; Mower County Humane Society or Fairview Care Center.
