In loving memory of Douglas Allen Wenzel, age 76, who passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

 Douglas, “Doug”, a God-fearing man who loved the Lord and his family, was born August 23, 1949, in Mason City, Iowa, son of Allen and Roselle (Tinkey) Wenzel. He married Linda Bremer on December 27, 1980 at Brooklyn Center Church Of The Nazarene.

 Doug was a proud Vietnam veteran and received the Purple Heart for his battle wounds, among other service medals and commendations. He served in the US Army for eight years. His life was marked by service, faith, and a deep love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he faithfully shared the gospel through his many ministries. His most loved ministry was “Be Corny, Get Popped for Jesus.” He enjoyed playing cards and board games – famous for dominating in Cribbage and Scrabble against friends and family. Doug additionally enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and traveling. He spent several years enjoying Alaska's mountains, rivers, and beautiful landscapes. Another one of his greatest joys was earning the rank of an Eagle Scout, an honor that guided him throughout his life. He served as a proud Letter Carrier (US Postal Service) for 22 years. Doug will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering faith, and joy he brought to all who knew him.

 Doug is survived by his wife Linda Wenzel; his siblings Robert (Sandy) Wenzel and Beverly Wenzel; his children Douglas T. Wenzel and Katie Huntington (Curtice); grandchildren Isaac (Lexi) and Lydia Huntington, and his soon to be great grandchild.

 Doug was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Roselle Wenzel and siblings Terry Bohn, Jeff Wenzel, David Wenzel, and Paul Wenzel.

 A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service honoring his life at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at Praise Fellowship Church, 602 Central Ave S, Dodge Center, MN 55927. There will be a luncheon to follow
