EDNA EARLE SCARBOROUGH

The funeral service for Edna Earle Scarborough will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 4830 120th Avenue SW, Kasson, MN with Reverend Mark Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Colville Cemetery, in Woolmarket, Mississippi.
Edna Earle Scarborough, 95, died on Thursday evening, January 27, 2011, in her home in Kasson, Minnesota.
Edna was born on January 7, 1916, the daughter of Jesse F. and Minnie (Diamond) Malpass in Jackson County, Mississippi. She married Charles M. Scarborough on November 30, 1934. She lived most of her life on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and moved to Kasson Minnesota in 2004. Edna was a life time member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church in D'Iberville, Mississippi. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and watching sports on television. Her great grandchildren were the love of her life.
Edna is survived by one son, Charles R (Andrea) Scarborough, Acworth, Georgia; one daughter, Roma (William) Stromme, Byron, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Bill (Michele) Stromme, Kristy (Steve) Johnson, Karla Resch, Chuck (Heather) Scarborough, Paige (Daniel) Drain, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one infant daughter.
Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements. Family prefers memorials to South Zumbro Lutheran Church.
