The memorial service for Elaine Faye Woolison will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 308 ~ 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Marie Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Elaine Faye Woolison, 75, passed away at her home in Dodge Center on Friday evening, December 26, 2014.
Elaine was born on July 1, 1939, in Kiester, MN the daughter of Henry and Marie Fredricah (Schaper) Branderhorst. Elaine graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. She worked at Power Team in manufacturing for 28 years. Elaine was united in marriage to Lawrence Woolison on February 14, 1977. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. Elaine enjoyed quilting, gardening, Minnesota Vikings, fishing and snowmobiling.
Elaine is survived by her children, Pam (Michael) Justice, Dodge Center, MN; Albert (Rose) Koss, Kasson, MN; Kathy (Mark) Haukoos, Black Earth, WI; Patti Koss (Jim Hegge), Rochester, MN; Jodi Benda, Dodge Center, MN; step children, Jerry (Midge) Woolison, Dodge Center, MN; Rita (Eric) Olson, St. Peter, MN; Cheryl (Dennis) Grems, Cleveland, MN; Sue Woolison, Dodge Center, MN; Michelle (Shane) Anderson, North Mankato, MN; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many step grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Ina) Branderhorst; sister, Janice (Meinard) Haberman and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence in June 2012; brother, Floyd and nephew, Henry. Family prefers memorials to Faith Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or donor's choice. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW, in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
