Ellen Sue "Ellie" Hartstein Toch

Ellen Sue “Ellie” Hartstein Toch, 79, of Kasson, MN passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN.

Ellie, also known as “Cookie” was born on December 16, 1944, in Denver, CO to Jacob and Sadie (Bemel) Hartstein.  She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1962.  She went on to work at different retailers and wholesalers cutting gemstones. She married Arthur Toch on June 16, 1995, in Wabasha, MN.

Ellie enjoyed reading and listening to music.   She also loved to go out to eat with her family and friends.  She will be deeply missed.

Ellie is survived by her husband, Art Toch of Kasson MN; siblings, Helene (Gene) Levy of Denver, CO, Arnold Hartstein of Rochester, MN, Steven Hartstein of Rochester, MN, Sharon Losey of Surprise, AZ, and Tony (Barb) Hartstein of Maplewood, MN; cousin, Sandy Garland of Des Moines, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Praise Fellowship Church, 602 Central Ave S in Dodge Center, MN with Pastor Roger Langworthy officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester, MN.
