ELMER MARVIN JOBE

Elmer Jobe, 66, passed away February 17, 2014, at Cottagewood Senior Communities with family by his side. Elmer was born on September 9, 1947, the son of Marvin and Beatrice Jobe. He was united in marriage to Judy Blattner on April 25, 1970, in Rochester, MN. They lived on a hobby farm in Dodge Center, MN where they raised all sorts of animals, but primarily beef cattle. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center, MN. He enjoyed farming, auctions, fixing machinery, tending to his cattle, but most of all spending time with his family.

Elmer is survived by wife Judy, mother, Beatrice Jobe, brother, Martin (Kathy) Jobe of Long Prairie, MN, sister, Marlene (Bob) Gustafson of Raymond, MN, Son Troy (Amy) Jobe of Kasson, two daughters, Tanya (Lee) McElmury of Kasson, and Tammy Darby of Rochester, and two grandsons, Dylan and Rohnan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin; brother, Bill; son, Tate; and beloved dog, Stella.

Visitation will be from 6:00~8:00 p.m. at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN February 19, 2014, and one hour prior to the funeral service at the Church.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. February 20, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Central Avenue North and Highway Street in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Timothy Chase officiating. Interment will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN.
