ERWIN BENROY LYKE

The memorial service for Erwin Benroy Lyke will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN with visitation one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.

Erwin Benroy Lyke, 79, died Tuesday morning, March 20, 2012, in Dodge Center, MN.

Erwin Benroy Lyke was born on May 7, 1932, the son of Vernon and Edna (Ellefson) Lyke in Kasson, MN.

Erwin was united in marriage to Eileen Smith on June 7, 1953, at the Hegre Lutheran Church in rural Goodhue County, Minnesota.
Erwin was a lifelong resident of Dodge County. Erwin farmed in Claremont, MN and later worked for Dodge County for 21 years. He moved into Dodge Center in 1980.

Ervin is survived by his wife, Eileen Lyke, Dodge Center, MN; daughter, Katherine Lyke, Stewartville, MN; son, Darvin (Rachael) Lyke, Claremont, MN; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, William (Evelyn) Lyke, Rochester, MN; sisters, Doris (Vern) Cole, St. Cloud, MN; and Rosemary (Robert Spindel) Lyke, Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one sister.
