ESTELLE ANNA ANDERSON
Estelle Anna Anderson, age 99, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, at the Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center with a visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 am at the church. The burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Food Pantry program at Faith Lutheran Church.
Estelle Anna Koss was born on January 12, 1919, to Frank and Mary (Heyda) Koss in Montgomery, Minnesota. She attended country school in Montgomery through eighth grade. On August 20, 1938, she was united in marriage to Helmer Anderson at the Hegre Lutheran Church in rural Kenyon. They farmed together and had two children before moving to Kenyon. Estelle helped her husband by keeping books at the car dealerships in Kenyon and West Concord, while also raising their now three children. They lived in Spring Valley for a short time before returning to West Concord. Estelle worked at the Super Valu Grocery Store for over 40 years, meeting and greeting many wonderful people through the years. She kept herself busy cooking, baking, sewing, refinishing furniture and also bowling. Estelle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Concord where she was active in the women's circle. She enjoyed doing all of this, but her biggest joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother. She never missed a chance to be involved with them.
Estelle is survived by her children, Everell "Andy" (Patricia) Anderson of New Market, Joan (Dan) Blaisdell of Dodge Center and Paulette (Tom) Miller of Wyoming, MN; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Beniak of Rochester. Estelle was preceded in death by her husband, Helmer who died on April 27, 2012; sisters, Julia, Agnes and Marcy; and brother, Frank .
