ESTHER ANN RUNNELLS
The funeral service for Esther Ann Runnells will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Esther Ann Runnells, 82, passed away on Thursday morning, November 20, 2014, at her home in Dodge Center, MN.
Esther was born on November 25, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Alma (Rieck) Schoenfelder in Rochester, MN. On May 14, 1951, she married George Runnells in Idaho. George and Esther made their home in Oregon, then moved to Rochester, Eyota, and lived in Dodge Center since 1963. Esther was a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Esther loved the time she had with her grandchildren, great grand children, great-great grandchildren and going to bingo.
Esther leaves behind four children; Deb (David) Wytaske, Claremont, MN; Gayle (Mike) Freerksen, Wayne (Marie) Runnells, and Robert Runnells all of Dodge Center; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Esther has one sister, Helen McIntire and one brother, James Schoenfelder, both from Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alma; husband, George; step mother, Liz; 2 sisters, Mary and Florence and 2 brothers, Ernest and Alvin.
