ETHEL MARIE (BOEFF) CHRISTIAN

The funeral service for Ethel Marie Christian will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at the United Methodist Church, 230 Pleasant St. in Dexter, MN with Reverend Karen Ashton officiating. Interment will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service on Monday.

Ethel Marie Christian, 84, passed away on May 30, 2013, at Crest View Villa in Hayfield, MN.

Ethel was born on May 12, 1929, the daughter of Vern and Marie (Calkins) Kirkwood in Austin, MN.
She was united in marriage to Harry Walter Boeff on December 28, 1947, at Dexter United Methodist Church. Harry passed away on April 21, 1997. They had six children; Arnold (Martha) Boeff, Laveen, AZ; Raymond (Joyce) Boeff, Hastings, MN; Larry Boeff, Guthrie, OK; Dale (Tracey) Boeff, Eagan, MN; Diane (David) Boley, Hayfield, MN; Jerry (Robbie) Boeff, Cheyenne, WY; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

On July 3, 2004, she was united in marriage to Walter Leigh Christian at Dexter United Methodist Church. Walter brought into the marriage, Sharon (Robert) Hanson, Lake Elmo, MN/Surprise, AZ; Larry (Karen) Christian, Blooming Prairie, MN; and Michael (Sherry) Christian, Denver, CO. Ethel enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Minnesota Twins, flower gardening and visiting with family and friends. She worked at various jobs. She was a homemaker and worked at Nickerson Farms as a cook, Libby's Canning Factory, Lake Center Industries, Arcon in Stewartville, the Mill Inn Motel in Dexter as a desk clerk and at IBM.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Christina in 1985, husband, Harry in 1997; and a special friend, Irvin Boysen in 2003.

The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
