The visitation for Evelyn May Pettis will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 501 2nd Street in Hayfield. There will be a private burial at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, MN.
Evelyn May Pettis, 85, of Austin, MN passed away on February 26, 2016, at Adams Health Care Center.
Evelyn was born on June 25, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Overacker) Krulish in Brookings, South Dakota. She married Ervin Pettis on February 29, 1948, in Augusta, WI. She worked for Hormel Company in Austin for 36 years. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading and making chocolate chip cookies for her family.
Evelyn is survived by her three sons, Roger (Linda) Pettis, Zumbro Falls, MN; LeRoy (Nancy) Pettis, Oakland, MN; Rick (Ardi) Pettis, Rochester, MN; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (Marv) Adams, Stacyville, IA; two sisters-in-law, Eva Krulish, Lyle, MN; Delores Krulish, Austin, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008; three brothers, and two sisters.
A special thank you to the Adams Health Care Center for all the care and support that they gave to her and the family.
