EVELYN FOGARTY SANFORD

The funeral service for Evelyn Fogarty Sanford will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014,at the United Methodist Church 1st Avenue NE and 1st Street NE with Reverend Dave Westlake officiating. Interment will be in Old Concord Cemetery in Concord, MN.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Evelyn Fogarty Sanford, 93, of Dodge Center, passed away on December 28, 2013, at Fairview Care Center.

Evelyn was born on December 26, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Moore) Fogarty in Waseca, MN.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Lawrence Sanford on August 12, 1941, in Waseca, MN.
Evelyn was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Waseca and the United Methodist Church and Circle in Dodge Center. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, crocheting, reading, flowers, fishing and traveling. Evelyn and Lawrence spent winters in Arizona.

Evelyn is survived by one nephew, John Harter, Waseca, MN; one cousin, Kay Kath, Owatonna, MN; one longtime care giver and friend, Charleen Dostal, Dodge Center, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; sister, Viola; and brother, Marvin.
