Faye was called home to Heaven on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She passed away at her home under hospice care with family present.

Faye was born on July 3, 1931, to Robert and Amelia (Funke) Buttolph in McIntire, IA. She graduated from Riceville High School in 1949. She married Herbert Rud on January 27, 1951, in Riceville, IA. Herb passed away in 1962. To that union they had three sons, Mike, Jeff, and Brian.

Faye worked at the World Hospital in Rochester, MN and the Olmsted Clinic in Rochester. She lived in Rochester, Kasson, and Byron, MN, Seattle, WA, Devils Lake, ND, Kissimmee, and St. Cloud, FL. She moved to Kissimmee, FL in February 1986. She worked as a medical assistant with Pleasant Hill Elementary School System. Also, the Nickelodeon hotel in Kissimmee.

She enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling in MN. Visiting relatives in Iowa and great Sunday meals. She was a great bowler. Enjoyed bowling on her league and making friends. Was a red cross volunteer and did classes at the Civilian Police Academy. Which made her very proud. Whoever got more “Junk”/order out of catalogs than Faye. Her home was decorated with ceramic teddy bears all over the house and signs also. She was an avid collector and loved them.

Faye enjoyed all of you that came to visit and stay with her. She enjoyed all those meals weather she made them or you did. She had many stories to share over the years.
