FRANCES GERTRUDE JANNINGS
Frances Gertrude. Jannings, 75, of Dodge Center, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Frances was born June 19, 1941 in Brookfield, MO to Doc and Eloise (Burroughs) Dean. On August 18, 1956 in Burlington, IA., Frances married Harold Jannings. Frances worked as a CNA for Madonna Towers and the Charter House for many years before going back to school to become a TMA. She retired as a med tech in 2006 from the Charter House. She was a member of Shepherds Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas and was baptized in 1983 at Elim Baptist Church in Rochester, MN. Frances enjoyed bowling, fishing, riding horses, riding motorcycle, playing her guitar along with playing cards and yahtzee. She loved flowers, watching birds, cooking shows and game shows. Frances was a very patriotic woman with a profound sense of humor. She was a caregiver, and always put others first, especially her family. Above all, Frances was devoted to her family.
Frances is survived by her children, Lois (Randy) Sackett, Wasioja, MN; Linda Jannings, Dodge Center, MN; Chauncey (Debra) Jannings, Halfway, MO; Curtis Jannings, Oronoco, MN; Chris Jannings of Kasson, MN; Lee (Tanya) Jannings, Kasson, MN; 10 grandchildren, Stephenie, Jessica, Sarah, Cassandra, Samantha, Lucas, Megan, Marcus, Austin, Wyatt; 8 great-grandchildren, Emma, Logan, Seth, Ellie, Madelyn, Chase, Audrina, Sophie; 4 step-grandchildren, Dylan, Sheila, Jason, Greg; 10 step great-grandchildren; adopted granddaughter, Alyssa; sister, Marian Perrin, Blue Springs, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold; son, David Jannings, her beloved dog, Shadow and by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW., Dodge Center, MN.
