Francis Sherman Buck

Francis S. Buck, age 94, of Hayfield, died on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield. A graveside service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield with Military Honors by the Hayfield American Legion Post #330.

He was born on January 7, 1924, in Austin, MN to Chris and Julie Buck. Francis was raised in rural Hayfield. On January 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Audrey Mae Louks. Francis worked for Hayfield Window Company and Door as an installer and salesman for many years.  He enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including fishing, hunting and golfing. He served his country in World War II and was a member of the American Legion. Francis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield.

Francis is survived by his daughters, Diane (Dave) Stuart of Des Moines, IA; June (Ron) Buck-Tipton of Rochester; grandchildren Channing Tipton and Julia Stuart. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; two brothers and two sisters.
