FRANK RUSSELL MAYZLIK

Frank Russell Mayzlik, 72, of Hayfield, MN passed away on October 10, 2017, at Our House in Austin, MN surrounded by family.

Frank was born on April 14, 1945, the son of Russell and Ruth (Thompson) Mayzlik in Austin, MN.

Frank graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1963, and attended Austin Junior College for two years and later graduated from Mankato State College with an Accounting Degree. Frank served in the U.S. Marines from 1966-1968, and is a Vietnam Veteran.  He was honorably discharged in 72’, E-5 Sergeant Rank. Frank was united in marriage to Cheryl Alwes in 1969, and later divorced. Frank was an accountant for Tonka Toys in Mound, MN.  He moved to Hayfield in 1975, and worked as an accountant for Thoen Brothers Elevator. Frank worked as a Realtor for Merrill Lynch and Coldwell Banker Burnet Realty in Rochester for 22 years.

Frank had a passion for muscle cars, he also enjoyed going to the movies, riding motorcycle, camping, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his children, Yvette (Aaron) Louks, Blooming Prairie, MN; Michele Mayzlik, Brownsdale, MN; Jesse (Michelle) Mayzlik, Rochester, MN; six grandchildren; Gabrielle, Vanessa, and Sophia(Louks),Carter(Ziegler), Camden, and Callan (Mayzlik); two sisters, Judy Schwartz, Rose Creek, MN; Susan (Glen) Wynia, Hohenwald, TN; three brothers, Ronald (Penny) Mayzlik; John (Sandra) Mayzlik and Jerry (Connie) Mayzlik all of Austin, MN.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 ~ 1st Street SE in Hayfield with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating.  Interment will be in Lansing Cemetery in Lansing, MN with Military Honors by the Hayfield American Legion Rothie Post 330.
