Gene Earl Whittington, age 73, of Hayfield, MN passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 at the Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's campus in Rochester, MN.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Czaplewski Funeral Home in Hayfield (501 2nd St NW, Hayfield, MN) and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 18th, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield (104 1st ST SE Hayfield, MN). Burial will take place at Fairview cemetery in Hayfield, MN.
